About
Hello, I’m Zan. I play Zandrae on Wyrmrest Accord US. I use “He, Him, His” but “Comrade” is fine too. I’m on the border between being Gen X and Millennial, meaning I’m young enough to make Millennial jokes about myself but old enough that I sometimes want the younger half of the Millennial generation off my lawn.
I try to be a nice person, but sometimes I’m a jerk.
What do I do?
- I roleplay
- I multibox
- I roleplay and multibox at the same time to put on skits and entertain people.
- I used to raid but my internet is shit right now. In the past I’ve run raiding guilds.
- I write discourses about RP etiquette and etiquette theories with the intention of making the RP scene where I play a healthier better place for all players.
- I reblog cute cat pictures and other feel good stuff.
Where and When did I start doing this crap?
- I started “roleplaying” in the mid 90s when my friends and I started passing notebooks back and forth during class. This confused our teachers. most teenagers pass petty notes, we passed book after book of collaborative fiction
- I started online roleplay in 1997 on IRC and moved on to other Mediums.
- I started doing DMing in 2000.
- I started playing WoW in December 2004.
Meatspace Stuff and other random stuff:
- I’m pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Software Engineering.
- I’m about to complete an Associates degree in Mathematics and Science.
- I’m about to complete an Associates degree in the Arts and Humanities.
- My first discourse, on the internet as a means to tear down cultural barriers and unite people across the world, was published in 1998.
- I received a small time but notable award for an article I wrote about transgender issues.
- I used to draw a lot. I can’t bring myself to do it anymore.
- I used to travel around the US and show my art in fandom art shows… then I took an economy to the job.
- A farm near my house which has since been demolished and turned into houses used to have free-roaming peafowl and in my youth peacocks would come and hang around in our neighborhood. I used to stare up at their long trains as they sat on the roof of my childhood home.
